Head 2 Head
Tarjei Boe today has been one of the core members of the Norwegian men's team going back to 2010 when he ran the second leg on Norway's Olympic Gold medal relay team at the Vancouver Olympic Winter Games. Following that milestone event, Boe had a career season, winning the big Crystal Globe for the World Cup Total Score as well as small globes for the sprint and pursuit. That season, he won five IBU WCH medals at Khanty Mansiysk, a feat he would match in 2015 at Kontiolahti. He now owns 17 IBU WCH medals, of which eight are Gold medals.
Over his now 10-year World Cup career, Johannes Thingnes Boe's older brother has struggled with health issues, but always seems to rebound and find his way back to the podium. In the first trimester of the 2018-19 BMW IBU World Cup season, he picked up his first individual podium of the season with third in the pursuit at Nove Mesto na Moravě.
