France’s Emilien Jacquelin shot clean for the first time since winning the Kontiolahti Sprint last December, taking a convincing 23:13.3 win in this evening’s Nove Mesto na Morave Men’s 10 km Sprint. Tonight’s win marked the two-time IBU Pursuit World Champion’s fifth career win and second sprint title this season.

The Competition Jury for the Men Sprint has decided to use the alternative Start Group system that the IBU Rules offer - with warm temperatures and challenging track conditions expected for later today in Nove Mesto. As a result, the Top 15 of the World Cup Total Score will be among the first 30 starters.

Gilonne Guigonnat of France and Isak Frey of Norway, both wearing a bib 14, won in the Sprints at the IBU Cup in Otepaa, Estonia. Frey won for the sixth time in the 2024/2025 and looks set to win the IBU Cup Total Score title. The Norwegian men took five spots on the flower podium.

The Junior World Championships in Oestersund end with exciting relay races and victory for France and Norway.

In the final competition in the youth category at the World Championships in Oestersund, the German and French teams are the lucky winners.
